We also took an awesome hike up a canyon in the Red Rock area. After entering the canyon, we followed a partially wet, rocky creek bed to the canyon’s end.

The silver cholla cacti were huge and everywhere!

The trail ended at these beautiful pools and with a trickling waterfall. Boss thought they were very refreshing! One boy exclaimed and asked as Boss walked by, “Your dog went swimming! How did he do that?” We replied that he just jumped in like normal. The boy said the water was way to cold for his dog “(puggle) to go swimming.

Dante's View

For the last week my sister has been visiting us during her spring break. We didn’t get as much time off as we wanted because this is a very busy time of year here, but we did a lot of fun stuff and several new things that Andrew and I have been wanting to do.

Besides Golden Canyon, one of the first things we did was drive up to Dante’s View (~5,500 ft.) to get a view of the entire valley. This is a breathtaking view for anyone.

It's hard to tell in the picture, but this was the prettiest, little emerald green pool on the valley floor.

You can also see how the little springs form a trail of salt.

Horseback Riding

It was a beautiful, cool morning to ride horses in the desert. We had a great time and laughed a lot at our horses personalities. We could definitely tell it had been a while since we had riden also.
